Lessons in Luxury

The increasing popularity of cooking schools is undisputed - they seem to be popping up everywhere.  One of New Zealand’s first, and certainly the one in arguably the most stunning location is Punatapu Lodge on the banks of Lake Wakatipu in Central Otago.
Peta Mathias visited Punatapu Lodge on this week’s programme to find out how they introduce their local and international guests to the very best of Central Otago produce.  To see what she found, follow the video link above.

Peta Mathias is in fact no stranger to cooking schools herself – she recently opened her own cooking school in France near the medieval town of Uzes.  Click on French Lessons to read more on that story and for some of Peta’s own recipes.

And if cooking schools aren’t quite your thing but you enjoy entertaining at home, click on Entertaining to have a look through some of our recipe ideas for a little inspiration.

And of course every month our dedicated team of food writers deliver even more great ideas in the magazine.  Pick up a copy of the October issue of NZ House & Garden for Peter Gordon’s jelly creations and a special feature on mussels.  Bon Appetit!
