Going Native

Tony Murrell continues his discovery of stunning New Zealand gardens on the NZ House & Garden television series - this week he visited an award-winning native garden complete with its own man-made beach.

Contrasting foliage, textures and shapes are all hallmarks of native gardens that ensure they provide year-round drama.  The perfect example of this is the spectacular garden looking out to sea above Lang’s Beach, north of Auckland, owned by Viv Papich.  NZ House & Garden magazine visited her there recently to find out how she achieved it.
