It’s a simple yet clever concept: take a shapely vase and wrap it in a fishnet stocking. It’s not an everyday way to arrange flowers, we’ll admit, but this could be the showstopper you’re after for that upcoming cocktail party.

 

 

You’ll need just three things to create this look: quality flowers, an elegantly shaped glass vase and a black fishnet stocking. Simply slip the vase into a stocking leg, tuck the edges down into the vase and add water and flowers.

 

We’ve used tulips here but calla lilies, cymbidium orchids and peonies will work just as well (but do ensure you’ve got enough stems to wedge the net firmly in the vase).
