This stylish creation is the work of a little moss, a flowering bulb and very little effort. Start with a glass trumpet vase, which can be picked up at most florists and homeware stores, and line it with moss. Decorative moss is readily available from garden centres and florists. Take a flowering bulb – we used amaryllis but tall plants such as tulips, lilies and orchids work equally well – and decant it, along with the soil around its base, into the vase. Cover with moss and water well.
